The Annual Great Maui Whale Festival

Ki Ho Alu Slack Key Festival

JULY

Makawao Rodeo & Paniolo Parade
Maui Roping Club presents Hawaii’s largest rodeo with local and internationally acclaimed cowboys competing in rodeo events for top prizes.

AUGUST

Maui Onion Festival
The sweet flavor of our world-renowned Maui Onions are celebrated with cooking demos, recipe competitions, contests, food and music, in this fun-filled event.

SEPTEMBER

A Taste of Lahaina & the Best of Island Music
Largest culinary festival on Maui to benefit Maui youth groups, showcases popular restaurants with sumptuous tastings, food products, games, and live entertainment.

Maui Marathon and Half Marathon
Join runners from all over the world in the oldest continous running event in Hawaii. Festivities include Fitness Expo, Carb-loading party, Front Street Mile and 5K fun Run/Walks.

Aloha Festivals Maui County
Statewide celebration features on-going numerous cultural events. Arts & crafts displays, Leo Ki‘eki‘e Falsetto Contest, Banyan Tree Ho‘olaule‘a, Maui Makahiki Festival, Wailuku Town Block Party and much, much more.

OCTOBER

XTERRA World Championship
A premiere off-road, extreme multi-sport competition televised from the Makena resort on Maui. Features 1.5K ocean swim, 30K mountain bike ride, and 11K off-road run.

NOVEMBER

Hula O Na Keiki
Maui’s only children’s solo hula and chant competition hosted at teh Ka‘anapali Beach Hotle. The weekend features workshops on chant and hula, arts and crafts displays, and live entertainment.

Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament
Hawaii’s Chaminade University hosts NCAA-sanctioned top college teams in this annual pre-season tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center.

DECEMBER

Na Mele O Maui
A showcase of Hawaii’s language, music and art through the talents of its youth. Traditional songs, language and artwork exhibited by Maui County students, grades K-12, as a benefit to raise scholarship funds.

Billabong Pro Maui
This exciting annual surfing event is held at Honolua Bay at Kapalua Resort. Last Triple Crown event of the year.
